What we did: We developed the community engagement strategy, designed and wrote the engagement materials and IEC tools, and conducted stakeholder engagement and training
Clean Power Indonesia (CPI) concepted and developed community-based biomass power plants in the remote villages Saliguma, Matotonan, and Madobag on the island of Siberut in Mentawai with the support of the Green Prosperity program and fund by Millenium Challenge Account Indonesia.
We developed a community engagement strategy and designed the community engagement and IEC tools throughout the proposal and implementation stages. The strategy and tools have the purpose of obtaining the understanding and support of the local government and communities, ensuring their participation and inputs become part of evaluations and recommendations in the construction process.
CPI still uses the IEC tools we designed for dissemination, discussions, and workshops that lead to the replication of the Siberut biomass and community-based power plant ecosystem.
